In the summer of 2024, I embarked on a cross country rail trip with my college freshman roommate Sayran. We both purchased USA Rail Passes from Amtrak and mapped a journey across the states.
We started in Virginia.
I had the great pleasure of a house-sitting gig in Richmond, Virginia in July. I had a chance to spend time with old friends and their families. Jack caught some beautiful frames on film.
Sayran met me in Richmond where we got our backpacks in order, shopped for snacks, and relished in Wawa Hoagiefest and the hot thunderstorms of the 804.
We drove up I-95 to Fairfax where we spent the night before saying bye to my mom at the Amtrak Statio in Alexandria.
We boarded the Northeast Regional ALX → NYP.
